Principals Message

Munglinup Primary School is a proud hub of our rural farming community, where dedicated educators passionately believe that every child can succeed. Our staff are committed to personal growth, embracing challenges, and investing in meaningful relationships with students, families and each other. Regardless of their role, each member of our team contributes significantly to fostering a warm, caring and inclusive school culture.

Nestled between Esperance and Ravensthorpe, our school caters to students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Surrounded by pristine natural bushland, the breathtaking Oldfield Estuary and the turquoise waters of Munglinup Beach lagoon, we are privileged to call this remarkable environment home. We acknowledge and pay our respects to the Wudjari Nyungar people, the traditional custodians of this land, and we embrace every opportunity to connect our students with the local community and natural world. By fostering these connections, we empower our students to become active citizens who appreciate and protect the land.

The contributions of parents and families are both welcomed and deeply valued, with a strong sense of ownership embedded in our school community. Generations of families have attended Munglinup Primary School, establishing a proud tradition of collaboration and mutual care. Beyond our immediate community, we prioritise partnerships with schools across the Esperance and Mallee network, ensuring opportunities for collaboration and connection for both students and staff.

We work hand in hand with our School Council, P&C and wider community to ensure Munglinup Primary School remains the school of choice in our area. The active involvement of our P&C has played a pivotal role in enhancing our resources, including funding the development of our nature playground. Our School Council supports our strategic growth by helping to identify priorities and set future directions.

Our students live by our school creed, "Only our best will do," which is a reflection of our school’s proud history. Through Positive Behaviour Support, we promote safe, respectful and productive behaviours, fostering a friendly and inclusive school culture that celebrates the achievements of all.

I encourage all families to be actively involved in their child’s educational journey and to contribute to the vibrant, inclusive, and supportive community that makes Munglinup Primary School so special. Together, we continue to build a bright future for our students and our school.
